Our History - Celebrating 25 Years

  • 1995

    Selection Training is formed as an IT and systems training company based in Kingston upon Hull.

  • 1998

    Due to demand for IT courses in the Yorkshire region, opened training centres in Sheffield and Leeds.

  • 2000

    A new division is set up to provide soft skills and leadership and management training.

  • 2003

    Accredited by the Institute Of Leadership and Management (ILM) to provide level 2, 3, 4 and 5 leadership and management courses.  Now an approved ILM training centre.

  • 2005

    Achieved Direct Claims Status with the ILM, awarded only to companies who have a high standard of delivery and assessment.  Selection Training can claim delegate's certificates as soon as work has been assessed and passed by our internal verifier.

  • 2008

    Became an approved funding training partner for A4E in the South Yorkshire region. 

  • 2010

    Become an approved subcontractor to Calderdale College for several funding initiatives in the Yorkshire region.

  • 2014

    Introduced the “Training Room In A Bag” concept  for all offsite IT courses.  IT courses can now be carried out on clients's sites easily. We bring the training machines - you provide the delegates.

  • 2017

    Successfully become a City and Guilds approved training centre.

  • 2019

    Achieve Direct Claims Status with the City and Guilds.

  • 2020

    Celebrating 25 Years.
